Before your first deployment, you will complete SetupMyAI's two-day certification programme. This is not a video course — it is a hands-on, practical training programme run by our senior engineers.
By the end of day two, you will have deployed OpenClaw and Perplexity Computer from scratch, applied the full security hardening checklist, and completed a mock client handover. Only engineers who pass the practical assessment are certified to carry out client deployments.
We review every application personally. If your background looks like a strong fit, we will reach out within 5 working days to arrange a 20-minute video call.
The call is informal — we want to understand your technical background and what you are looking for. If both sides are happy, we will book you onto the next available training cohort.

Network engineers operate as independent contractors. You invoice SetupMyAI for each completed deployment and are paid weekly. This means you keep flexibility over your schedule and can take on other work alongside. If you prefer a more structured arrangement, discuss this during the screening call and we can explore options.
You need a reliable laptop capable of running terminal applications and connecting to client networks. SetupMyAI provides the USB deployment toolkit, installation packages, and all software required for deployments. You do not need to purchase any specialist hardware to get started.
From the time your application is accepted, the typical timeline is: screening call within 1 week, training cohort within 3–4 weeks, first deployment within 2 weeks of certification. Most engineers complete their first paid deployment within 5–6 weeks of applying. Priority Express deployments are often available immediately after certification for engineers in high-demand areas.
You are never alone. During every deployment you have access to the HQ support WhatsApp channel. If an issue is beyond the scope of your training, our senior engineers assist remotely. In rare cases where a deployment cannot be completed, we rebook with a senior engineer — your fee is still paid for the session and any additional return visit is handled by HQ.
Currently, in-person engineer positions are only open to those based in the UK or UAE. If you are based elsewhere and have strong technical credentials, get in touch via hello@setupmyai.xyz — we may have remote technical support roles that suit your background as we expand.
We ask that certified engineers take on at least 2 deployments per month to remain active in the network. This ensures you stay sharp and that clients can rely on us for booking availability. If your circumstances change and you need to take a break, simply let us know — you can go on pause and rejoin the active network when ready.
